Here's photos and videos I took at today's student-organized Salem Climate Strike event on the steps of the Capitol building, plus my commentary. Really inspiring to see so many young people standing up for preserving our one and only Earth for human habitation.

It is so very wonderful to see our future leaders focusing upon reducing pollution!
Most sensible citizens would agree wholeheartedly with that point.
But when we get to the ultra-ultra- ultra, liberal, off the rails solutions that their brain-washer, liberal teachers put forth; I have a couple of questions:
-What mode of transportation did they take to arrive at the capitol?
-How do they heat their home?
-Of their personal essentials, I.E. clothes, phones, water bottles, shoes; how many are derived from petroleum???
How is their school bus powered?
How are their schools heated?
What ingredients are necessary to pave the roads from their house to their school?
Of the electricity that flows from the wall outlets that they use; how much of the power comes from clean coal and petroleum?
THESE are the questions that Brian FAILED to ask the students as he pandered the failing ultra liberal “race to the bottom” fest.
Meanwhile, Oregon continues to slide to the WORST education metrics; now at 47th out of our nation.
Shameful…
Nobody knows what is going on with the climate or what it is going to do. The cone of uncertainty in computer models expands so rapidly that it is useless. There are too many variables and unknowns.
The climate issue is a political ploy. It’s really about power and governance. They want to be the ones pulling the purse strings and telling you what to do, how to live, and even what to eat while they do whatever they want. Fly in private jets. Live in mansions. Look at the Obamas. They want to wrest power from the corporations’ greedy grasp into their own greedy grasp. Using brainwashed children to advance a political agenda is disgusting.
