[* Note: "exciting" is used in a special sense in this blog post title. I am comparing watching my videos to, say, spending several hours in a doctor's waiting room with no cellular or wi-fi service, ten year old copies of Parent's Magazine being the only reading options.]
Now that I've gotten past the above disclaimer, I'll share my EXCITING videos.
Be careful not to watch them close to bedtime. I'm worried you will be too energized to sleep. However, I suppose there is a counter-argument for watching them when you want some sleep.
Last Wednesday Ken Adams and I spent a pleasant half hour at Salem's CCTV studio filming an episode for his Valley View program. The You Tube description:
Interview with Brian Hines on the issue of the Salem Police Department facility, and the decision not to use the Salem Public Library as the site for the Salem PD.
I found the interview interesting when I watched it. But then, I'm me, watching me.
I was really pleased that my hair was in better control than the first time Ken and I talked on camera (about my report on the outrageous U.S. Bank tree killings). Here's the video:
On the other hand, hair-wise my appearance during the public comment period of last Monday's Salem City Council meeting was a disaster. But again, I liked what I said about the crazy notion City officials had to convert the library into a police facility.
Salem Community Vision made a video of this portion of the CCTV telecast. I ended up at the podium for a whole eleven minutes, since the Mayor and several city councilors got a bit (or a lot) testy about what I said during my three minute public comment.
