OK, it’s unlikely that I’m going to find any buyers for a West Hollywood condo via my Oregon weblog, but I figured I’d take a stab at helping out my daughter and her husband. Theirs is the 950 Kings Road, #244 listing at $429,000 under “current listings.” I figure that a percent or two should flow my way if I broker a deal, which would get me started nicely on a Mini Cooper S purchase.
Celeste and Patrick, if you’re interested in moving from L.A. to Sisters (Oregon), I found a nice home for you at the same price. Doesn’t it make you sick? Just had to taunt you with what you could buy in Oregon instead of staying in crowded, smoggy southern California. Of course, you’d have to get new jobs, probably, unless Gucci and Oliver Peoples wanted to open some stores in Sisters. That’s a small detail to be worked out.
Laurel and I would visit you whenever we went to our cabin in Camp Sherman. We’d even baby sit my grandchild, when there is a grandchild. Think about it. I still can’t believe that my Portland-born daughter has embraced the L.A. lifestyle. And Patrick, you’re from rural Wisconsin, so you don’t have any excuse either. Move to Sisters and you’ll feel right at home: cold (for a good part of the year).
