2026 Silvertongue Apple-Peal is another satirical masterpiece from Gus Frederick

It’s a publication that only appears every two years. Sort of like a locust swarm. But much funnier.

The Silvertongue Mt. Angle Apple-Peal emerges from the twisted mind of Gus Frederick in election years, of which this is one. Obviously — why else would I be in an almost constant state of bi-polar hope and fear as the November 3 midterm approaches?

You can read the Silvertongue Mt. Angle Apple-Peal for absolutely free here. Previous editions can be obtained gratis here. Whether free or gratis, the price is more than humorless residents of Silverton and Mt. Angel are willing to pay. But we laughter-starved denizens of Salem appreciate the sustenance arriving from the east.

Before copying the copyrighted current issue, pay close attention to the small print on the archives page. Don’t worry about your eyes. I have trouble reading it also. It says: “©2012-26 The Silvertongue Apple-Peal and Mt. Angle Nudes, a wholly-owned leisure service of The MacDonald Group, E.I. O’Hannity, Publisher. All rights preserved.”

If you click on that link, and naturally you should, even though my browser window says the link is Not Secure (sadly, I haven’t detected any porn being downloaded to my computer), diligent further clicking would reveal this in the Who We Are section. But since the copyright notice has a 2015 date, you’ll need to add 11 years to the description.

This photo accompanied the Facebook Messenger missive that alerted me to the existence of the 2026 edition of the Silvertongue Mt. Angle Apple-Peal. Since Frederick is holding a copy of the publication, this serves as proof of life that he indeed serves as its creator.

The furrowed brow is testimony to the seriousness of Frederick’s journalistic commitment. Or maybe he’s taking a selfie and is trying to figure out if his smartphone is focusing correctly.

Anyway, check out this marvelously creative issue. Where else are you going to find reincarnation news?
